The next best thing to knowing something is to know where to find it.
A large amount of information relating to agrochemicals has been generated, however, this can only be found in many diverse sources. As such, a great deal of this information is not easily available to regulators, research scientists or the general public.
The aim of this site is to ensure the dissemination of accurate information on the chemistry of agrochemicals and the regulations pertaining to their use in one web site and in an easy to use format.
This site has been produced by a sub-group of the IUPAC Advisory Committee on Agrochemicals. The members of this sub-group come from a wide range of backgrounds, including government, academia, industry and independent consultants.
The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) serves to advance the worldwide aspects of the chemical sciences and to contribute to the application of chemistry in the service of Mankind. As a scientific, international, non-governmental and objective body, IUPAC can address many global issues involving the chemical sciences.
